thumbnail

In the modern world where many of our day-to-day products come from all four corners of the world, a tough, yet fair question to ask is “Is it possible to have a quality product at low cost with an ethical footprint?” DEPENDS… Of course, this question is also valid for Education, especially these days as the game is changing very quickly with the rise in digitalization and online learning; nowadays anyone can develop materials and teach them from anywhere, which begs the question: The cost may be low, but what about the human process behind it and the real (…)

Think back over how much Education has changed in your lifetime, in the past 10 years and even in the last 3 years…   The internet, the emergence of English as an international lingua franca, and globalization are revolutionizing education and specifically ELT at a very fast pace.  As an EFL teacher and social media manager for a small ELT publisher, I’ve followed these changes with great interest and this past month my team at Edulang revolutionized the way we’re sharing our elearning applications (TOEIC® and TOEFL® test preparation, as well as a daily news lesson based on Voice of (…)

thumbnail

PLN is so much more than 3 letters and without my own, I doubt I would have presented at #RSCON3, written a survey that so many responded to, or now be sharing our crowdsourced knowledge with you.  Very cool indeed. With your PLN, you give a little, you get a little, and somewhere along the way you get A LOT.  Ceci has used a beautiful metaphor in her most recent post “the secret garden“ Credit to Rob Farrow for image   Before I share the survey results, and my #RSCON3 recording, I’d like to thank all of those who (…)
